Al Mahabba House * دار المحبّة

Al Mahabba House is an art collective and alternative publishing
initiative founded by Den Haag-based Lebanese artists Jana Assaad
and Milo Sharafeddine. We seek to challenge publishing norms by
treating every program, book, or artwork that Al Mahabba puts out
into the world as a publication.

We started Al Mahabba because we felt alienated by the meticulously
curated, centralized, and intimidating nature of the art scene.
We wanted, first and foremost, to put out publications that were
friendly and transformative— less rooted in an identity and instead
embracing the fluctuating nature of experimentation. Weaved into these
publications and emphasized through collaboration is the intention to
think through community and openness, and to incorporate research and
care into all that we do.
